It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day when I set foot on the sands of Malibu with Denise and Brandon. The beach is already picturesque in itself, but we were delighted with a gorgeous sunset…the colors in the sky were amazing. As we were walking along the beach and stepping in and out of the water as the waves would come in, we suddenly realized we weren’t flinching when the water hit us, or shivering at the cold ocean water, and that’s because the water was so warm! I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced such great beach temperatures in southern California as I did this summer.

Denise and Brandon are always so much fun to work with. I took their maternity photos back when Denise was pregnant with their adorable daughter, and now they have given me the honor of photographing their wedding. Of course, that includes an intimate engagement session. Engagement sessions are always a great opportunity to celebrate your love, while getting some practice in being “models” prior to the wedding day. Fortunately, the three of us were already acquainted and comfortable around one another, but if you have never worked with your photographer, the engagement session is a great chance to get to know each other and get comfortable with the one person/vendor who will be with you throughout the entire wedding day.

And here they are….soon to be Mr. & Mrs. (and soon to be wedding anniversary twins with my husband and I!) 🙂
