Return of the Blog – Being burglarized plus some Fall fun

I know – this post title is not very…catchy.

I was so excited a couple of months ago when I announced the launch of my blog. However, shortly thereafter, I traveled out of town for a wedding, was burglarized, and things just sort of escalated from there. Being burglarized itself is not a nice feeling…it’s an extreme violation. But what made this particularly hard for me to accept was the fact that my daughter and husband came along for this trip and the three of us were asleep when a stranger entered our room. I felt like Mama Bear failed her cub. For weeks, I replayed the incident over and over in my mind and truthfully, was torturing myself. I did finally ease up and focused on the fact that no one was harmed and the situation could have been much worse. The rest of the fun followed when we got home…trip to the DMV, trying to remember everything that I had with me to report missing, replace credit cards, etc. Apart from my peace of mind being stolen, having my computer stolen was one of the worst parts because it set me back in processing my images more than I could have imagined. It’s sad to think of how many things were actually affected over the few things this person gained in stealing from my family and my business. I really want to thank all of my clients who have been so supportive and understanding.

I have been keeping very busy shooting. Sadly, I have been trying to focus on completing images, that I have not had a chance to share what I have been up to, which really is part of the fun! So, I would like to bring this blog to life and get to posting!

To start things off, in light of All Hallow’s Eve, I will share some images of my growing girl. Less than one month and we will be celebrating Callaia’s 1st birthday. I am in disbelief that a year ago I was very pregnant and anxious to meet the little person growing inside of me and now that little person is someone I could not even imagine my life without. We took a very short trip to the pumpkin patch this past weekend, but I still managed to capture the memory with a few images.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

That image above…melts my heart. <3
